• When replacing brake pads on newer BMWs with the Electromechanical Parking Brake (EMF) the rear brake caliper piston has to be turned while being compressed back into the caliper housing.
• Traditional methods of squeezing the piston back will not work as the piston must be screwed back in.
• Advantage:
Used to reset the EMF adjustment unit & piston to the starting position. This tool has three pins that lock into the piston and a 3/8″ fitting for your ratchet. Simply ratchet the piston back in to reset it. This tool will prove to be invaluable in years to come as all BMW models will be switching over to this new EMF type of rear brake system.
